i'm posting twice in the same month *clinks fancy martini glass with you*
so this week i really wanted to dedicate myself to working on some sculptures and on my portfolio but unfortunately i had to work every day this week and it's hard for me to only dedicate a few hours in the evening to work on a project. i don't know why but i feel like i need to have one free day just to work from start to finish on something. i also started a second job at a self serve frozen yogurt place and so i've felt a little too flustered to be making anything lately- but free froyo amiright.
i've only had time to do little doodles of bigger comics and illustrations i want to work on in the coming weeks- probably one about starting a new job
so this outfit was taken on monday when i had time to do some drawings and it was a perfect fall arting outfit. i also thought i needed to document this rare occasion of when i got dressed to do art. usually i'm a banana in pajamas (hopefully this reference makes sense)
and the following art pieces are to help motivate me to make stuff!!!
|Banana Bread no Pudding by Ooshima Yumiko|
and i recently ordered a few zines and stickers from some great artists/art collective. the first one is from Grace Miceli. i picked up her Feminist Art Coloring Book which is something i've been eyeing for a long time. i'm so happy that i can finally break out my crayons!
|visit her website for more rad as heck art|
the second zine i picked up was the third zine from HAG entitled Vanitas. it's a really informative and thought provoking zine- as are all of the hag zines, and it introduced me to a lot of incredibly talented female artists.
and it came with this sick moth patch made by Marina Claire! Jareth now has a pal to keep him company.
